The meeting of the Deputy Director of JNCC with the First vice-rector of the RSUH

February 20, 2020 Mr. Raj Kumar, Deputy Director, Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural Center, the Embassy of India in Russia arrived at RSUH and met with prof. O.V. Pavlenko, the first vice-rector - vice-rector for scientific work to discuss the further extension of the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding between the RSUH and the International Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). A.A. Stolyarov, Director of the ISTC Study of South Asia also took part in the meeting.


The proposed Memorandum provides for sending a professor to the RSUH from the Indian side on topics of interest to the RSUH (international relations, economics, Russian-Indian relations, cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, etc.) on a long-term (up to 2 years) basis.

The Indian side is committed to ensure transportation costs and labor costs. The Russian State University for Humanities will have to provide accommodation and honey insurance.


During the meeting organizational issues on the implementation of the Memorandum were discussed.
According to the agreement, the Russian State Humanitarian University must make its amendments to the text of the Memorandum within two to three months so that the Memorandum is signed by the rector of the Russian State University for Humanities and the Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation by the end of the 2019/2020 academic year. The implementation of the provisions of the Memorandum is scheduled for the second semester 2020/2021 academic year.
