Background

Primary place of employment: Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the RAS. Head of the Sector of Cross-Cultural Psychology and Human Ethology since 2008.

Currently conducts joint research projects with Prof. Weisfeld (University of Detroit, USA), Prof. Sorokowski (University of Wrocław , Poland) in the field of cross-cultural anthropology and psychology; in the field of evolutionary psychology - with Dr. Fink (University of Göttingen, Germany); in the field of biological anthropology and human evolution - with Prof. Schafer (University of Vienna, Austria), Prof. Manning (Swansea University, UK) and Prof. Mabulla (University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania).

Academic and educational activity

Courses taught:

  • Human ethology and foundations of evolutionary psychology;
  • Evolutionary foundations of human behavior.

Has supervised 7 Ph.D. dissertations.
