RSUH Academic Council Session: Campus App and International Cooperation Development

On May 27, RSUH held a session of its Academic Council, discussing the prospects for RSUH’s international cooperation and the development of the corporate app “Campus” for students and faculty.

At the beginning of the session, distinguished RSUH faculty members were honored. For many years of work and significant personal contributions to the University's development, the title “Honored Worker of RSUH” was awarded to:

  • Olga Afanasyeva; Yevgeniya Basovskaya; Natalia Makarova; Irina Snegiryova.
  • Tatyana Borisova; Gennady Zhivotov; Professor Gayane Kramarenko; Galina Kobzeva; Petr Protsenko.

Honorary diplomas for conscientious work and high qualifications were awarded to Olga Bageyeva, Fayruza Vagizova, Galina Kuryanskaya; Andrey Kukhtenkov; Yekaterina Polyakova; Yevgeniya Semyonyuk; Anna Solovyova.

Acting Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Vera Zabotkina presented a report on RSUH’s cooperation with international students and educational organizations, outlining future prospects. She noted that 350,000 international students are currently studying in Russia. The President of Russia has set a goal to increase this number to 500,000 by 2030, and RSUH is actively involved in this task. The University is also expected to promote Russian education on the global stage to maintain a leading international position. Dr. Zabotkina added that the university needs to reorient its international cooperation toward CIS countries, BRICS, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region.

“International activity is RSUH’s calling card. Liberal arts knowledge and science cannot develop in isolation, they are inherently directed toward international interaction. Furthermore, international cooperation is not only essential for the development of our university but also a way to address global political tasks, such as promoting Russian education abroad and achieving socio-humanitarian leadership,” emphasized Rector Loginov.

Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation Tatyana Belyaeva shared that over the past two months, active work had been underway to implement the corporate mobile application “Campus”. It will be a niche social network on a domestic platform for students and faculty, featuring up-to-date schedules, event announcements, and communication and information exchange capabilities. Council members also approved regulations for the Institute of Socio-Economic Sciences, the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons, the Institute of Continuing Education, and several other local regulatory documents. Educational programs of the RSUH Humanities College were also approved.
