Within the framework of the RFBR and EISR, the project of a RSUH teacher was supported.
According to the results of the competition of the joint RFBR and Expert Institute of Social Research for the best academic projects of fundamental research in the field of social and political sciences implemented by young scientists, the project of Dr. Sergey Novoselsky, senior lecturer of the Department of History and Theory of Historical Science "The Image of the Revolution in the Russian political thought in 1905 " was supported.
At the center of Dr. Novoselsky's research lies the specificity of the transformation of public consciousness that was rapidly taking place in Russia against the background of the exacerbation of the internal political crisis in 1905. An analysis of the understanding (by the authorities and society) of the challenges of the time and the ability to properly respond to them will allow not only to assess the degree of the Russian Empire's readiness to meet those requirements, but to also form an idea of the direction in which Russian society was developing at the beginning of the 20th century. The project is based on the interdisciplinary approach used in the study of evaluative categories in which the contemporaries talked about the events of 1905 in Russia, allowing us to more accurately determine the specifics and chronological boundaries of the revolutionary crisis that the country faced at the beginning of the 20th century.
The results of the project will be published in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals. We congratulate Dr. Novoselsky and wish him new academic victories!
