On August 9, a meeting of readers with the writer German Sadulaev was held at the Arkhangelsk Museum of Local Lore. The event was organized by the Federal Center for Humanities of RSUH in cooperation with the magazine “Museum World”.

German Sadulaev is the author of more than 10 books and a regular columnist for Vzglyad.ru.

The meeting began with a story by Alexei Pischulin about the activities of the magazine and the Museum for Readers project.

It was emphasized that the project was aimed at drawing attention to the issue of reading, since in the modern world a “reader” is gradually turning into a “browsing person”, which cannot but affect the state of culture as a whole and the identity of each of its representatives.

At the museum, German Sadulaev read an excerpt from his work "Ivan Auslender: a novel on palm leaves."

According to Mr. Sadulaev, time in the modern world is fleeting, and reading is the main way to slow it down.
