Writing system for Yemen Sokotra war named 2nd most important invention of the last year.
Writing system for the Yemen Sokotra island inhabitants, created by Russian Orientalists, took the second place in the list of the most important inventions of 2014, according to the BBC poll. Dr. Kogan, Head of the RSUH Institute of Oriental and Classical Studies, said that the writing system was a long-awaited event for over 100 thousand people of Sokotra and that the system would promote educational, media and cultural development.
