Volunteer students of RSUH held a charity festival «Volunteer Wednesday»

The event was held on February 26, the main purpose of which was to raise funds for the treatment of a seriously ill child, 9-year-old Ivan, a care recipient of the Life Line charity foundation.

«Throughout the day, we were selling the products of our sponsors: coffee chains «Coffebrain «and» Lao Lee, «says Elena Balakhonova, one of the organizers of the event, a sophomore at the Law School. „Students and employees of our university could buy fresh pastries and drink coffee without leaving the university».

The interest in the event turned out to be quite large both from students and faculty. „The festival was attended by several large volunteer organizations, both external (Mosvolonter and Medical Volunteers) and internal,“ said Ms. Balakhonova. — They talked about their activities, answered questions, organized games. The Life Line foundation also presented books on its activities and the works of its ambassadors, e. g., the work of the TV presenter and psychologist Natalia Tolstaya and poems by the popular Internet poetess Sola Monova».

The students intend to hold such events annually, because although volunteering is quite common at RSUH, there is a need to involve as many people as possible in such activities.

The event was organized by the Student Affairs Department, the Student Trade Union, the volunteering team of the New Level 2019 project incubator, and the Life Line charity foundation.
