RSUH students celebrated Chinese New Year

On Chinese New Year’s Eve, on January 17, Confucius Institute of RSUH arranged a student evening dedicated to the end of the semester.

“China is our main strategic partner,” Dr. Vera Zabotkina, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, noted in her welcoming remarks. - Chinese culture has ancient roots and is close to Russian heart. Last year, we celebrated the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, and next year we will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.

This year is the Year of the Rat, and the rat is a very intelligent animal. Let me remind you that at the World Congress of Confucius Institutes in Beijing, we were awarded the title “Confucius Institute 2013”. Taras Ivchenko, Director of the Institute, had written the dissertation in Chinese and defended it in China. Students not only study here, but also develop as people, as there is an exchange of energy at a highly positive level. I wish everyone to feel a new surge of energy. Happy holiday! ”
