On April 30, the first robotic tour “Battle of Anghiari” was held at the Museum of the 3Da Vinci Workshop of RSUH.

The robotic tour was conducted using a mobile robot controlled via the Internet and equipped with a built-in video camera. Konstantin Kharin, Head of the International Center for Advanced Media Technologies of RSUH, was operating the robot. Dr. Sergey Kuvshinov, Director of the International Institute of New Educational Technologies, acted as a remote guide for the exposition of unique facsimile drawings by Leonardo da Vinci, his sketches for the Battle of Anghiari fresco exposed at RSUH.

The tour was conducted via ZOOM. Participants were able to activate augmented reality and watch the tour using the 3Da Vinci AR application.

The tour was attended by leading experts of the Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics and the Institute of Automation and Robotics STANKIN, to assess the quality and feasibility of the activity.

The tour lasted for an hour, and, according to experts, aroused great interest due to the high quality of broadcasting, rich content and innovative technologies. The International Institute of New Educational Technologies is planning to conduct a similar robotic tour within the framework of the “University Saturdays” and extend this successful experience to other cultural and educational spaces.
