From May 18 to May 21 at the Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, the International Conference "New Migration in Eurasia: Consequences for Integration Processes" was held.
The event was attended by scholars from Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and other countries, coming from the Institute for Demographic Research of the Federal Research Sociological Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Scientific Council "Socio-Political and Demographic Problems of the Formation of the Eurasian Economic Union" under Department of Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, International Analytical Club "Issyk-Kul - Greater Eurasia".
The purpose of the Conference was to discuss the theoretical and applied aspects of the interdisciplinary study of the consequences for the integration processes in the Eurasian space due to the emergence of new migration flows, and the construction of new models of cooperation.
The conference was opened by the Rector of KRSU, Dr. Vladimir Nifadiev. Dr. Pivovar, President of RSUH, took part in the conference and delivered a welcoming speech.
Russian and Kyrgyz specialists in the field of science, culture, education and demography, representatives of federal and regional authorities, non-profit public organizations, considered the economic and social aspects of the demographic policy of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, the reasons for return migration, the features of Russian emigration from Russia to Kyrgyzstan, the role of public organizations in the socio-demographic processes of Kyrgyzstan and other issues.
