Presentation of the publication "On the constitutional development of Russia. Selected works in three volumes"

On September 26 at 2PM in the Hall of the Academic Council, RSUH will host a meeting with the renowned constitutionalist Oleg Rumyantsev and a presentation of his academic work "On the constitutional development of Russia. Selected works in three volumes". This publication is the result of many years of research.

"This collection of examples of constitutional literature written from 1990 to 2023 has become a comprehensive attempt to present a reasoned view of the image of Russia, its recent past, present and future. I see this image in the framework of the modern system of constitutionalism and recognized effective constitutional values, norms, institutions, techniques and practices," notes the author Oleg Rumyantsev.

• Volume I - Fundamentals of the Constitutional System of Russia

Volume One consists of the monograph from 1994, an imprint of the era of the first constitutional reform whereby the foundations of the constitutional system were conceived and consolidated.

• Volume II —Constitution of '93. History of the Phenomenon

Volume Two includes a narrative about the process of constitutional reform in 1990-1993 and the context of the emergence of the 1993 Constitution, and a revised and supplemented fourth edition of the monograph of 2013.

• Volume III — The Evolution of Russian Constitutionalism

The Volume consists of selected articles, speeches, essays whose topic is the thorny path of the implementation of the Constitution (1990-2024).

Oleg Rumyantsev is a Russian constitutionalist. In 1990-1993, he was a people's deputy of Russia, member of the Supreme Council of Russia, executive secretary of the Constitutional Commission, head of the working group for the preparation of the draft Constitution of the Russian Federation, and a participant in the Constitutional Conference under the President of Russia. He is also Chairman of the Commission of the Association of Lawyers of Russia for the Development of Constitutional Legal Awareness, President of the Constitutional Reform Foundation, Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Constitutional Bulletin magazine, Chairman of the Constitutional Club.
