The Conference was held February 6, 2021, in ZOOM, organized by the Department of Foreign Area Studies and Foreign Policy of the Faculty of International Relations and Foreign Area Studies of RSUH jointly with the Center for Japanese Studies of the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Department of International Politics and Foreign Area Studies of the Institute of Social Sciences, RANEPA.
The event was moderated by Dr. Korneev (RAS), Dr. Pechishcheva (RSUH) and Dr. Fainshmidt (RANEPA). In the presentations, special attention was paid to economic, political, environmental and strategic challenges in the Asian region, internal problems of individual countries (Japan, China, Mongolia, Malaysia), and the emerging contours of a new system of international relations in the Greater Asia.
Dr. Kistanov, an orientalist of renown, Head of the Center for Japanese Studies, RAS, gave a welcoming speech to the participants of the event.
Presentations were made by Dr. Medushevsky (RSUH), Dr. Kistanov (RAS), Dr. Mishchenko (Moscow State University), Dr. Korneev (Plekhanov University), Dr. Filin (RSUH), Dr. Nemchinov (Russian Academy of Sciences), Dr. Akimushkina (RSUH), Dr. Fainshmidt (RANEPA), Dr. Pechishcheva (RSUH), as well as RSUH M.A. students Ms. Romanova, Ms, Mekhtieva and Mr. Vyazovsky.
The event, being of an interdisciplinary nature, became another step towards expanding cooperation between RSUH and colleagues from higher educational institutions and research centers.
