New Solutions to Complex Problems

On June 4, 2025, a roundtable titled “Promising Research by Scientific and Educational Institutions of CIS Member States on the Issue of Deradicalization of Individuals Influenced by Extremist and Terrorist Ideology” was held at RSUH.

In his welcoming remarks, RSUH First Vice-Rector Dmitry Bobrov emphasized the importance of this discussion as a platform for sharing experiences and formulating recommendations for further cooperation.

Speakers at the plenary session included:

• Alexey Maruev, Head of the Basic Organization of CIS Member States for the Study of Issues Related to Combating Terrorism and Other Manifestations of Extremism;
• Alexander Borisov, Executive Secretary of the Joint Commission on Harmonization of Legislation in the Field of Security and Counteraction to New Challenges and Threats, and Secretary of the CIS IPA Standing Commission on Defense and Security Issues;
• Igor Matskevich, Rector of the University of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation.

A separate session of the interdepartmental seminar “Information Confrontation Technologies in Socio-Technical Systems” was held, focusing on information confrontation and the security of artificial intelligence technologies. The session was chaired by Dr. Viktor Los, Professor of Military Sciences, Chief Researcher at RSUH, and President of the Information Protection Association.

Guests of the roundtable included representatives from the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as scholars from RANEPA, MGIMO, MIREA, Kutafin Moscow State Law University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the Federal Agency for Nationalities, the All-Russian Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Institute of Socio-Political Research of the Federal Research Sociological Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
