On April 28, RSUH hosted its traditional Donor Day event.
“Donor Day at our University is now in its 12th year, held in cooperation with the Federal Biomedical Agency. Our students are among the most conscientious in understanding this civic responsibility,” said RSUH First Vice-Rector Dmitry Bobrov, noting that Donor Day was a form of personal development and a meaningful step toward becoming a responsible citizen with compassion and patriotism.
Held twice a year, in spring and autumn, the event brings together students, faculty, and staff around the idea of mutual aid. This spring, 65 people donated blood.
It is worth remembering that in critical situations, donor blood is often the key to saving lives, and during severe trauma, surgery, and serious illnesses, it is frequently needed immediately, and can only be stored in advance through blood donation campaigns.
RSUH plans to continue developing its donor movement and encourages everyone to participate in future events.
