Contest of business projects for schoolchildren

On December 20, 2019, RSUH held the final stage of the contest “My first business project”. The event was organized by the School of Economics of the Institute of Economics, Management and Law. The event was supported by the Moscow Department of Education and Ministry of Education of the Moscow Region.

In total, about 100 applications were submitted from more than 50 high schools of Moscow and the Moscow region. After a serious vetting process, 15 teams qualified for the final.

The purpose of the competition was to promote the business initiative and competencies among the younger generation.

The high schoolers had had to get acquainted with the basics of entrepreneurship, improve their financial literacy, develop creative thinking, learn to search, process and analyze information from various sources, develop skills to clearly, consistently and correctly express their thoughts, back up conclusions and suggestions.

Support was also given to the teachers that provided effective assistance in developing students' interest in entrepreneurship.

The practice-oriented approach of the contest was further substantiated by involving Russian businessmen in its organization.

The judges praised the high level of training of participants, who were able to adequately present and defend their projects. Many of the ideas presented were unique and innovative. In the process of preparing the projects, some participants had already begun to put their ideas into practice and provided the jury with prototypes.

The finalists were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.

The competition has been held at RSUH for the third time since 2018. Each time it causes great interest among high school students.
