RSUH hosted "Day of Turkish Language and Culture", dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic.
The Day is dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic in 1923.
"Today we are once again holding this significant event: "The Day of Turkish Language and Culture". This tradition is already decades old, and I believe that we will continue to support it, because the study of Turkey, its culture, education, and political system are of great importance for the development program of RSUH," said Efim Pivovar, Academic Director of RSUH.
The event was organized by the Institute of Eurasian and Interregional Studies of RSUH, the Institute of Asian and African Countries of Lomonosov Moscow State University, and the Nazim Hikmet Foundation for Culture and Creativity in Moscow. The guests of honor were:
• First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey;
• President of the Nazim Hikmet Ali Culture and Creativity Foundation Galip Savaşır;
• Director of the Turkish Cultural Center of the Yunus Emre Institute Mehmet Ulker.
Everyone present at the event was able to experience the atmosphere of true oriental hospitality. The organizers put together the following activities:
• Master class on ebru painting, a technique in which paints are put into water and then transferred to paper, forming fascinating patterns;
• Henna tattos, a ritual that brings good luck and blessing;
• Painting Turkish patterns on fabric, a symbol of Turkish heritage;
• A concert and a quiz show.
