A presentation of a documentary trilogy about the tragedy in Bosnia and Herzegovina took place at RSUH

On May 17, 2023, a documentary trilogy about the tragedy in Bosnia and Herzegovina was presented at the Professorial Hall of RSUH and its first part, Bosnia: Victims of Jihad, was shown. This trilogy is the result of a joint project between the Russia Today media group and the Republican Center for the Study of War, War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons of the Government of the Republika Srpska.

The event was opened by Dr. Evgeny Kozhokin, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Political Science and Foreign Area Studies of RSUH. He thanked all those present for their interest in the event and noted that the relationship of our University with colleagues from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina did not fade due to for the difficult situation in the world, but, on the contrary, was becoming stronger every year.

Dr. Viktor Nuzhdich, Acting Director of the Republican Center for the Study of War, War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons of the Government of the Republika Srpska, introduced the participants of the session to the historical context of the events that took place during the war in the territories of the former Yugoslavia and thanked Ms. Ekaterina Gabel, director of the documentary trilogy, producer of the Russia Today media group, for the implementation of the project.

Dr. Elena Ponomareva, President of the International Institute for the Development of Academic Cooperation, at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, spoke about the precursors of the tragedy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and analyzed the factors that accompanied it.

Dr. Dzhevad Galiyashevich, Director of the Center for Humanitarian Law and the Fight against Terrorism, an expert on international terrorism and political Islam, examined the role of Western intelligence services in destabilizing the situation in Yugoslavia.
