On May 13, 2020, RSUH held a student competition of creative projects "Making and promoting a creative project for Russian regions through the eyes of students in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory" in English and German, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages.

This semester the competition, which has already become a tradition, was held remotely with the motto “We are proud of the Victory” and was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The main goal of the competition was to develop the students' creative activity, expand their cultural range, nurture feelings of patriotism, pride in their homeland, respect and gratitude to the selflessness and sacrifice of Soviet soldiers. From a professional point of view, the competition provided ample opportunities for innovative activities aimed at improving products, services and production in order to meet the growing needs of the market of Russian regions.
The objectives of the competition are development of communication abilities and public speaking skills of students of English and German, overcoming language barriers, improving teamwork competencies. It provided students with an opportunity to combine their research skills with those of creating foreign-language presentations.
Dr. Vorontsova, Assistant Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages, noted the enormous positive impact of extracurricular research activities on the formation of professional competencies of students, including the ability to use modern information and communication technologies in working with information, the ability to identify and formulate the field of research; the ability to increase knowledge and introduce advanced experience in professional and interdisciplinary fields; the ability to implement social programs aimed at achieving peace, social compromise, positive consensus, tolerance in various areas of society.
And another, perhaps the most important thing. Now, when the self-isolation allows us to get together only via ZOOM sessions, this Competition has united all - students, faculty, RSUH management. Never before was our unity felt so clearly. We were together all the time: in mail correspondence, chats, calls, video conferences. It was overall inspiration, general creativity and united strength. Today it is worth a lot.
The competition was attended by 1-3 year students of the faculties of Economics, Management, Advertising and PR, the Faculty of Culturology and the Institute of Psychology.
