the Olympiad in Russian language held in SPPU on January 29, 2020

Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, Maharashtra, India

Departments of Foreign Languages (Russian Section) of SPPU in association with  the Department of International affairs of the Russian State University of Humanities, Moscow (RGGU) and Centre for South Asian Studies are organized the Olympiad in Russian language.

More than 50 students of SPPU took part in this competition.

The Olympiad was held in two difficulty levels: for beginners (A1 and A2), for students of B1).

The results of the Olympiad showed that 60% of students coped with the task of level B1 and 40% with a basic level.

The winners  - Suman Sharma (1st winner), Irshad Vodagavakor (2nd winner), Dnyaneshwar Sapate (3d winner)  and all participants were awarded with diplomas, calendars and bracelets with the logo of the RSUH.

The organizers of the Olympiad were:

SPPU: Dr. Anagha Bhatt-Behere, prof. Vittal Zalki

prof. Anil Sathi,

Dr Lakshmi Mandlik.

Subsequently the RSUH plans to conduct annual interactive competitions among students of the University of Pune by using a knowledge testing system.

The Russian Language Olympiad in Indian universities is primarily aimed on attracting Indian youth people to study at RSUH, contributes to the promotion of the RSUH’s brand in the international arena, learning the Russian language as well as creating a positive image of Russia.
