RSUH Chinese-Hindi group students Ekaterina Moskalenko, Sofya Kiseleva participated the lecture delivered by Professor Sergey Serebryany “Ramayana Valmiki - problems of translation, study and interpretation”.
The lecture was held as part of the monthly scientific seminars of the Institute of Advanced studies of RSUH.
Ramayana is an ancient Indian epic in Sanskrit language.
In the Hindu tradition the author of Ramayana is considered to be the legendary sage Valmiki, whose name is mentioned in Vedic literature as one of the teachers of Taittiriya-Pratishakha. It is one of the most important sacred texts of the Hinduism of the smriti’s Canon.
