International Round Table "Pakistan's foreign policy and its role in the organization of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)" was held at the Russian State University for Humanities.
HE Mr Kazi Mohammad Haliullah, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Russian Federation and Republic of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Mubashir Khan (Second Secretary) met with Prof. Alexander Bezborodov, Acting Rector of RSUH, Prof. Vera Zabotkina, Vice-rector for International cooperation and Prof. Olga Pavlenko, Vice-rector for Scientific Affairs.
The plenary session was opened by prof. Alexander Stolyarov who stressed the importance of organizing an International round table with Ambassador and representatives of the Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow and the Business Council for cooperation with Pakistan.

Then HE Mr Kazi Mohammad Haliullah delivered the lecture about Pakistan's foreign policy and its role in the SCO. He noted that Pakistan occupies an important geostrategic position in the South Asian and Central Asian regions. He also noted that our countries have been expanding contacts at various levels since 2014. The main thing is the conclusion of various commercial transactions - military, trade, energy and heavy industries, as well as the expansion of bilateral trade. Pakistan expressed interest in creating a free trade zone with the Eurasian Economic Community, in which Russia plays a major role. In particular, the Pakistan delegation recently visited Moscow to discuss the reduction of taxes on Pakistani goods.
Prof. Shahida Wizarat, Dean of the Institute of Business Administration (Karachi) spoke about the program of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor which will connect the Pakistani Gwadar port with Xinjiang (China) by a pipeline system, by rail and road.China is looking for a cheaper and shorter route for transporting oil and oil products from the Persian Gulf.
Mr. Khalil Rehman, President of the Pakistani compatriot association "My Pakistan" spoke about the activities of his organization in the trade cooperation between our countries. His colleagues –
